Ok i've been wanting to do this blog since my exams.. i suddenly had the inspiration to do this when i was daydreaming during studying. Never had the time to go about doing this till now.. when im waiting for my looong virus scan to end.
If i asked you to confess your love for the girl /guy of your dreams, how would you do it? What would you say to show your true feelings and how you feel about the other person? here's a list i came up with of what the different types of students will say:
How students confess their love
A physics student:
You are the only Law of my life! You make my heart accelerate and without you i feel displaced. I feel attracted to you everytime you are near, my resistance is futile against your power! Without you, my life is only half complete.
A chemistry student:
You are the nucleus of my life! My atoms and molecules all belong to you! I will only be in equilibrium with you around, and whenever you are, i feel like i've taken Helium - i'll be on cloud nine. You take my Oxygen away. I feel endothermic whenever you're around.
A biology student:

A geography student:

An Art student:

An Economics student:

A General Paper Student:
No matter what arguments are to occur between us, i will never come to the conclusion that we can't be together. I will evaluate the situation and not generalize anything you say. Sometimes you may make be angry, but in spite of that, my point is that we will always be together. Therefore, we need to work together to make things work, and only with the joint co-operation, will this be true.
A Knowledge and Inquiry Student:
Even if i don't say i love you, my love still exists, because you have to look at it from the viewpoint of the theory of science. If you don't acknowledge my love will it still be considered my love? Of course it is, because assuming it was there since the assumption was made it will always be an entity and has to be considered.

WOOT
ahhh i missed this blog. though it's kinda the same . but. oh well.
sheesh had interval training during PE which totally sucks. Basically run one round around the track under a required time (1:45) then rest awhile. Repeat for 5 more laps. Damn tiring man. =X was dying in the last lap like my lungs were on fire.
I really hate my new timetable now (put into place since this week cos of J1s) There is no more slack day which i can pon something and go home very early (last time Thursday was just math tutorial in the morning.. then chem lect in the afternoon. usually ponned the lecture so could go home at 1230)
Now everyday ends late! Earliest is friday at 2pm!!! wth .
The timetable is still full of pointless breaks. I never calculated but i think if all the breaks were removed i'll end school at 12pm everyday.
Anyway here's another dance video by U-min. Now just 2 of them.. in the middle there's one part with head isolation that's damn cool. You'll know what i mean when you see it. =)
i think i should stop watching all these pro vids later i go the dance competition on saturday then think they lousy ahhaaha.

magic journal 6
ahh. haven't posted in a while eh.
I just started practising the Coin Roll yesterday.. isn't a magic trick, more of a flourish that looks pretty cool if you can do it well. My fingers just look clumsy when i do it :/
And since last week i've been practising just one card trick, my Ambitious Card Routine.. finalizing how i want to present it and practising that one move that i can't do smoothly though i keep practising :/ stupid turnover.
The basic effect is i let the spectator choose a card, can have him sign it to make is distinct. That i put the card into the middle of the pack, snap my fingers, and it comes right back to the top. And i do this again. and again. and again. =)
It was the one trick that fooled Harry Houdini.

And here's the video of someone performing it. It's one of my favourites as it is really long. He does it so many times! it's not easy to do it so many times. Figured the whole thing out though :p

i'm sick again
just in case anyone's wondering why i didn't go to church today, well, i'm sick again.
It hasn't escalated to a full-blown fever + cold sick, started off with a sorethroat on thursday/friday then became a slight cough, then got a cold yday and today. Hope it gets well by tmr :/ have GP exam tmr.. and exams the whole week.
feeling very drowsy now but i'm trying not to sleep .. otherwise i'll have difficutly falling asleep at night as tested in the past 2 nights.
pray for me. :/

well, actually i wont.
so what can you do?
I was just thinking of one of the most classic arguments, always have on TV, books, possibly even our everyday lives.
Take a simple basic example:
"I'll give you $10 if you stand on the table and sing a song"
(Or a more generic one would be:
"I'll give you $$ if you -action- ")
So here comes the argument:
'You give me $10 first then i do'
"Later i give you then you run away with my money. You sing first then i give you."
'But what if i do already then you dont give?'
So who should win here? In real life, the quarreling usually goes on and on and in the end the 'dare' is never carried out. In TV shows the hero of the show usually goes 'well you just have to trust me' but obviously this is not a fair argument so i was just thinking about what is the 'correct' way of settling this argument.
This can be solved simply by examining who stands to lose more. Let's call the person who offers the money as Moneyman (lol can't think of anything else that would be not confusing) and the person offered the money as Stuntman.
(see so easy distinguishable)
I'll try to argue for both sides as much as i can:
If Stuntman takes the money and does NOT do the required stunt, Moneyman can chase after the Stuntman for his money back. I mean, they're most likely acquaintances at least so when i say chase i dont mean Stuntman run away and dont pay back, but Moneyman bug him la.
Moneyman's can like try to beat Stuntman up and back his money.. or maybe call in authorities say Stuntman steal his money.
But at this point, Stuntman can simply go 'huh what dare where got dare' or even 'But Moneyman gave me the money on his own accord!' and without a 3rd party, it's simply unresolvable and Stuntman will most probably get away with it.
If Moneyman does NOT pay Stuntman after Stuntman has done the task, Stuntman can chase Moneyman for the agreed money. However, he has almost nothing to say if Moneyman dismisses it trivially like 'Lol such a simple thing you think i'll give you 10 dollars', which the authorities would agree with too. Stuntman hence possibly loses alot of face, and maybe also kena food poisoning if the dare was eat some nonsense.
Assuming that Stuntman wins in the first scenario and Moneyman wins in the second, it is clear that though Moneyman just loses money in the first case, Stuntman loses face and possibly reputation in the second. On top of that, Stuntman's argument in the first scenario is quite weak, perhaps if he kept the money he could be asked how much money he has in his wallet.. then if suddenly got extra that means he cope ma.

if only there were 36 hours in a day
block test is in 10 days. omg. 10! That's like.. really soon. And im not in the study mode at all yet. Reached home after 3.30 today, switched on the com to dl LOST then talked to some people.. napped for 30 minutes.. READ through econs notes (not memorize) . That's all i feel like doing! like super no mood.
I used to study like 3-4 hours when exams were coming!
I want to do so many things. I'm still regularly practising card tricks. I really hope to perform street magic eventually though the idea of that freaking scares me till my socks jump out at the moment. i can't even perform confidently for friends.
The hardest thing is not just performing the trick.. it's talking and presenting the trick as well. Patter is really hard to develop, most of the time when i'm talking i can't really concentrate on the trick and when im concentrating on the trick i can't really talk.
But once i get it down pat... woot. I should be a sensation. haha.
I also want to learn new songs on guitar. but the desire to play dota and practise cards override that guitarfeeling most of the time, and my E string is broken anyway.
I want to go and buy new decks of cards.. at the same time can buy shoes and stuff. But no time to go shopping! freaking exams. grr.
And my thoughts are being occupied by a certain someone. it's not possible but i can't get my mind off it. she's so.. ideal
If only there were 36 hours in a day. I'll be able to do so much more. If only Singapore's pace of llife wasn't so quick. If only if only.
And i still have NO idea what i want to do in life next time. 'Engineering' would be a logical path to take given my subject combination -- but then what engineering? I don't exactly have a strong interest in that area anyway.
psychology? sounds very interesting but what are the job prospects?
You know sometimes i don't mind being the househusband and let my wife earn the keep. This way i can go for jobs like.. helper in childcare centre. Or.. try my hand at journalism. Write some books. All jobs with potentially low income.. but if my wife can bring in the money it shouldn't be a problem.
BUT I CANT. Being the alpha male i have to take that responsibility. So i have to choose some job with decent pay to support my family. I can't just take a risk and go for some risky job like.. start a business or something. not that i want to it's just an example.
ARghH . Ok first i have to get 4 As for my A levels which is quite impossible given my current rate of studying. And Econs being so . . hard to score. Evaluate what shiiiit man. i need to consult my teacher. For my test i got every single point required.. then he went through with us then the things he say i all have leh. Then i only get 8/15 for one question. I need to know why.
Ok i'm just ranting and typing whatever comes to mind sorry if you are bored or something.
Oh and i also want to form a dota team or something and take part in competitions. but.. hard to even get one together and do i even have the time?! arhg

The reporter can go something like
'In the first round of tremors, the students were still caught up in the excitement of the tremors and were still happily chatting and strolling to assemble'

'however, in the 2nd round of tremors, some students panicked'
-footage of me and my friend dashing across the camera-
BUT THEY NEVER SHOW ME. NOT FAIR.

EARTHQUAKE!!

Ok for those of you who dont watch news and are really out of touch with the news, there was a earthquake (6.6) in Indonesia this morning and tremors were felt all around singapore.
Such as in my school!!
@ close to 12pm
I was doing my Physics practical exam.. then i heard some murmurs among my classmates then i felt a little giddy. Then as i looked around i heard 'Did you feel that?'s and 'the building is shaking!' I felt like my head was spinning or something.
Apparently a small tremor passed through SAJC and many people felt it.
So we all evacuated the building and assembled at the track.. while the principal and other people call police.. MOE, etc. Then after 10-15 minutes they told us go back to our classes because have no official announcement by MOE or anything.
So lessons carried on for about an hour +.... nothing happened..
@ around 1.40pm
I was in the cafe (canteen) just waiting for 2pm when my Chemistry practical exam would commence.
Then cos my school cafe has 2 TVs.. either show announcements or CNA. Then it was showing CNA then suddenly i saw my school teacher on TV. Then we all realised that it was happening in our school then we looked at the nearby fitneess corner and we saw the interview going on!
So some of us started jumping up and down -- and we saw ourselves jumping up and down in the background!! hahahahaha. It was a LIVE interview la i wonder what would happen if someone just jumped in and went 'I'M GOING TO DIEEE'
Then damn funny you can see on TV that a large crowd was gathering in the background of the interview.. cos everyone was crowding around the TVs to see it. haha.
So after the commotion was over.. went back to normal.. i was just sitting on the bench just waiting for chemistry exam.
Then suddenly the whole floor began wobbling.. i could literally feel myself wobbling from side to side. I was sitted on the bench then my friends walking to me never feel anything. Then me and my other friend 'eh again again !! tremors!'
Then those walking one very blur huhuh. Then they faster go and sit down then they felt abit. i looked up and i saw the ceiling lights literally shaking la.
So they assembled us at the track again.. then this time cos got CNA cameramen shooting. Then everyone was walking to the track then me and my friend DASHED in front of the camera like panicky lidat hahahaha.
This time they made us stand in the field.. cos the track is like partially covered by some concrete shelter thing so technically we cannot be under it, then got CNA camera ma, so must abide to the rules ^^

i love pasar malams
heh. it's like a prayer answered.
after Cny i was planning to go shopping and buy Clothes. asked several people to go with me but kena pangseh by all . :( sad case eh . haha
Then i added on to that shopping list -
1) Clothes (mainly T-shirts)
2) Shoes! (non-sports)
3) Guitar Strings (i just broke it while praCtising lady madonna. last week)
Then beCause i'm not like very riCh or anything, i wanted to buy Cheap Clothes. like niCe and Cheap. so i was like hoping for a pasarmalam or something.. was damn wasted that time near Church got one but i didn't think of buying then.
then 2 days ago when i was on the way home, i saw the pasar malam tents being set up!! whee!!
So i went there today and bought myself 3 tshirts (under $20 in total) and one pair of berms. (looks like some seCond hand lousy piece of shit haha but who Cares! i like the design)

The 'new' triCKs that are appearing are all repeat of old triCks anyway and aren't very nice or need gimimCks. I want to do impromptu triCks. =)
So just making my routines smooth.. and deciding to do just Closeup magiC and not like for a big group or anything. most effeCtive, best Crowd Control and all.
anyway, i just got my 'A' level Chinese results today. If you just read through my blog again i'm sure you will be able to seee what i got by the obvious hints. :p

after Cny i was planning to go shopping and buy Clothes. asked several people to go with me but kena pangseh by all . :( sad case eh . haha
Then i added on to that shopping list -
1) Clothes (mainly T-shirts)
2) Shoes! (non-sports)
3) Guitar Strings (i just broke it while praCtising lady madonna. last week)
Then beCause i'm not like very riCh or anything, i wanted to buy Cheap Clothes. like niCe and Cheap. so i was like hoping for a pasarmalam or something.. was damn wasted that time near Church got one but i didn't think of buying then.
then 2 days ago when i was on the way home, i saw the pasar malam tents being set up!! whee!!
So i went there today and bought myself 3 tshirts (under $20 in total) and one pair of berms. (looks like some seCond hand lousy piece of shit haha but who Cares! i like the design)
