deferred.
last week i received the sms that every Singaporean male who has completed his NSF cycle fears:
"You have received a National Service call-up notification... "
RESERVIST!! zomg. I'm barely out of army and they want me back already.
So obviously i went to ask all my other NS mates if they got it and yea. Got 2 somemore, though one is 2 days and the other is. 18. f*cking. days.
But after some checking around i realised that the 18 days one is NOT during my university holidays.. oh joy! So obviously can defer. Cos they said that you can defer for further studies one, such as uni.
So for those other NS kids who wanna defer also but don't know how.. you login to your account at www.ns.sg , then you look at the top taskbar that has NSConnect/eServices etcetc. Do you see 'NSMen'? Yea you hover there, a dropdown menu should show you 'MyDeferment' somewhere on that list.
Yup so unless you're computer illiterate you should be able to figure out what to do.
And yes after you applied for the deferment, they'll ask you to send in your documents like Uni admission letter.. timetable.. exam schedule.. all that nonsense. Which obviously we don't have.
Apparently if you call them up they'll also say need all these, admission letter not enough.
What happened was i didn't do anything and 2 days later some clerk from mindef emailed me, asking me to send in some proof if not my case will be processed without anything.
So i just sent in my admission letter + a saved webpage of the page where i confirmed my admission into NUS. Here, i'm nice enough to show you what it looks like
And a few days later (today) :

females aren't safe
Oh man this is highly frustrating.
I've been trying to look for tuition students and the annoying shit thing is that everyone wants a female tutor???!!
look, just one page of assignments already like 90% require female tutors. Actually the whole damn page is mainly all female tutors required i just can't screenshot everything at once.
WHY. Are males just depicted as dangerous would-be-criminals who are going to do something criminal with your kid? And so females are extremely nice and delicate and sweet and harmless?

LOOKING FOR TUITION STUDENTS
Ok, after signing up for countless numbers of tuition agencies and not getting any assignments at all .. I've decided to advertise here on my blog! Though I don't know how effective it will be given that:
Only about 6 people come to my blog every day? Sad case. Those who come regularly.. help me advertise to your friends! And friends' friends!

PROFESSIONAL CHEAP GOOD MATH AMATH A MATH EMATH E MATH TUITION !!
Yes, I'm looking for students to give math tuition. They can be from Primary 1 to Secondary 4, though i prefer secondary school kids. My favoured one will be Sec 3 Emath/Amath, because i can follow them all the way to their O levels. cheers!
These are minimum rates, feel free to offer more :) You can go and google and search all tuition agencies, these are very good rates already.
Ok you know what, being the meticulous and efficient tutor I am, i'll SHOW you a screenshot of the rates from an unnamed tuition agency (don't want to advertise for them, later you go to them instead of me!)
You see how cheap I'm offering. These are AVERAGE rates you know. And mine are waaay below.
Now you're wondering, so cheap, is he good? Well here are my certs:
PSLE (259 aggregate, A star for Math)
'O' Level (L1R5 = 8 points, A1 for both Amath and Emath)
'A' Level (AAAAB , A for Math)
These do not include 'invisible' achievements such as scoring Distinctions/High Distinctions for New South Wales Mathmatics Competitions in primary school, taking part in Math Olympiads, etc.
And yes I am an undergrad, going to enrol in NUS this August, proof here.
Thus I will be looking for a steady source of part time income for my expenses, won't just abandon you /your child halfway!!
My experience? I've been giving tuition to my friends since secondary school. (Yes, I was teaching my friends when i was still studying for my 'O' Levels)
My friends repeatedly come to me as I am able to help them grasp difficult concepts by giving a different perspective.
I am patient by nature and will be able to help weak students effectively. I don't believe anyone is incapable of doing well, it's a matter of putting in effort and the right teaching methods.

After long weeks of people not turning up, disconnects, wipes, failures, scrubs, people not turning up, disconnects..

My pretty Blood Elf Paladin with my new title. And new weapon (the mace from LK)
And if anyone is actually interested, the meters for our kill attempt:
Was a pretty rocky few weeks, The attempts started of in my ex guild Newbee with the group i formed, but due to sickness / DCs we never got any solid attempts on it.
Then i left them to join Noctis Erus, due to my new job which had stuffs on at night. I obviously tried to find a guild group but couldn't, so i put together a PuG to do it.
First week, did 10 bosses then people had to leave. So we agreed to return 2 days later to do it.. but 2 days later, several people didn't turn up, so it couldn't happen.
Extended lock to this week, started attempts on Wednesday. Don't think we came close.. think ppl didn't turn up or something. On Thursday, we hit 11% and wiped -_- (that's 1% btw, since it's a free kill once you hit 10% ) That was with 5 people left in phase 3 as well, for a good 10% of HP of the boss. We lasted really long, if we had got that kill, it would have been epic.
The rest of the night were just attempts that easily went to P3 but we kept wiping to spirit explosions killing people.
Friday, tried to get a group going, but once again people didn't show up. So couldn't do it. So we pushed it to today, Sunday.
Things started out rocky, with wipes on P2 due to Defile.. spread to the whole platform, etc, We never even hit the 2nd transition phase, there was one where valkyr spawn coincided with phase transition and we didn't stop dps, so people were split up and the valkyr got slowed, resulting in me (caught by it) dying to Remorseless Winter.
But on our kill attempt, everything went smoothly. No deaths , no ankhs/b-rez required. We hit p3 and unlike Thursday, P3 was a breeze. I don't know whether it was because i highlighted 2 main improvements to make
- I assigned specific positions for all 5 dps to be when vile spirits spawn, so people are spread out
- I reminded the RDPS on the need to kill spirits instead of running to spread out too early
that made it easy.. but virtually NOONE got hit by consecutive spirits, i was quite surprised.
Thursday it was like boom boom boom die .
So we got till about 11% then dunno how 2 ppl died , probably too kancheong and kena bomb by spirit. But it was a kill already.. just pushed the last 1% :D WIN.
Would love to do hardmodes with this group next week, but i'm called to join my guild's 10man. So i'll probably use my mage to do with this group, and have to kick out the lock :S
Kudos to Deathpain though, it was his first time on LK when he joined us on Thursday and he did really well. You check his achievs, he hasn't even killed sindra yet! haha. but he's a Kingslayer now.
Very good player, fast learner and good raid awareness. And well, good DPS too, but it's because he has that sick trinket (Dislodged Foreign Object). You give me that i'll pop sick DPS too.
Ok, i'm a very happy person now, maybe you ask me for favours now i'll do. haha.

An incoherent abstract post.
A drop of water
When it is in the ocean, it just moves around, with all the other millions of drops of water. Wait, billions? Trillions? Googols? (that's 1 followed by a hundred zeros)
Does a drop of water ever disappear? Does its existence ever cease? However insignificant, however small, it still exists, in some form or another.
A whirlpool of thoughts.
Conflicting emotion. Wild, crazy thoughts. Think of the swirling sea, the ocean that crashes against the shore again, and again. There is no order. There is no logic. it just comes in again, and again.
At a cross junction, how do you decide which way to go? What leads your mind to go straight, turn left, or turn right? What makes it better? Do you look at which road has an end in sight? or do you choose the long winding one that may have a better destination. Or is the straight path always the best?
What is the worst form of torture in the world?
I don't know what you thought of, but to me, it would be solitary confinement.
Imagine you are kept in a small room, just big enough for you to sit, lie. The walls are smooth and blank. The door is locked shut. There is barely any light in the room, just the tiniest of slits at the bottom of the door that allows a hint of light in the room.
You are kept in there until you die.
You think it's easy? The hardest part would be to occupy your mind. The first few days may be bearable with yourself running some recent memories, some happy memories through your head. Remember, you have nothing to look forward to, so there's nothing to dream about.
Next few days you are going to be looking around the room for something to entertain yourself with. Maybe the cracks on the wall form a shape. Maybe.
As you are kept in there even more, you have studied everything you can in the room. You are dying of SHEER BOREDOM. you have thought about your lover, your family, your friends countless number of times. You start to bang on the door to ask to be let out , just for a while.
But noone ever comes.
You are left in there for life. your only form of entertainment is your imagination. Which is bound to run out, in a small , dark room.
I don't know if this scares you, but i'm scared to death of such a form of torture.
Is it that hard to find someone who cares.
Someone who will be there, always.
Why are complications there in life? To make things interesting? Too good a life is dull?
I'm tired of reasoning. Of thinking.

28.8k HPS babeh. Was at 30+ near the end, but decided to stay out of portals to push the last few %.
Epileptic is a pally alt of one of the priest healers... but Zeeni is their current main Holy Pally. I mean seriously? when are you going to replace him with me? zz.
And yes holy pallies out there who somehow stumble upon this - Beacon is the only and best way to heal Dreamwalker. Basically you beacon her, stand nearby, and heal yourself. Your glyph will splash and heal hell alot. (19% of my total)
( i just checked, Zeeni healed so little because he didn't abuse this, and merely HL directly on the boss)

affairs are the in thing
For those of you who have been following the news, or at least the tabloids, for the past few months, you would have realised one thing: Affairs are the in thing.
It all started off with some car crash which led to the escalation of news of Tiger Wood's multiple affairs, with models/girls popping out of the woodwork to confess to an affair. Then came John Terry's similar fate, with his affair suddenly exposed.
And now the latest, our very own JACK NEO! At the moment, only 2 girls have came out publicly, but apparently he has had alot more supposed affairs.
Firstly, one thing i don't understand is WHY these girls want to go public with their affairs. For the 25 year old one of JackNeo who actually did NOT have an affair with him but merely had him try to hit on her, maybe she really does want to just let the world know what he is like, as she claims. (though any logical person will see she just wants publicity)
But for the others.. like those who have bedded Woods, Terry, etc. Is it so GLORIOUS to tell the whole world that you're a shameless slut who sleeps around with any good looking rich man?
Maybe it's the western culture that i don't understand, that it's very normal to sleep around with everyone. Maybe.
Next, i don't get WHY will people NOT support them anymore?
For Woods, maybe the other golfers should follow in his shoes and sleep with a gazillion hot models since it seems to let him play golf extremely well.
For Jack Neo, hitting on younger girls seem to have given him the drive to become Singapore's most successful director. As Mark Lee was quoted as saying: "He (jackneo) works so hard that he doesn't even have time to sleep, i don't know where he has time to have affairs"
And does it really matter if the director of a show has slept with 10 women or none? Is it going to make the show any less interesting? Less exciting?
For someone like woods/terry i can understand, the people who support them are their fans, so maybe now they are not the ideal role model anymore. But for Jack Neo, you are watching his movies and shows, why does it matter what he's like?
If Jack Neo was to save 10 people from a burning building, are you going to go "OMG i must watch his shows!! Sure very nice because he's so heroic!"
And for those self-righteous pricks who go "oh but his shows promotes family values and bond and now he's betraying his family so we shouldn't watch his shows anymore".
Does it mean that if he was to make a show now about extra-marital affairs now, you would go and watch it, since he has had personal experience and hence the show would be good?
He may seem hypocritical, but it doesn't make his shows any less good than before does it?
I am not some super-pro Jack Neo person and hence writing this. No, i didn't even watch his past few shows. though i've to say 'I'm not stupid 2' had a scene which was the closest to ever push me to the brink of tears for ANY scene in any show.
I just thought that the response of the public was quite ridiculous as mentioned above. So. There.

the hardest raid boss
SIAN.
After weeks of raiding, we finally reached the final raid boss of ICC, The Lich King. That was last week. Then we had planned to spend the full night on sunday to try to down him, but cos i was ggsick, we couldn't.
Tonight, after 2 hours+ of attempts, we decided to call it because of the hardest raid boss:
DISCONNECTS.
Seriously! every single attempt someone will d/c. super frustrating can! it's like not anyone making any mistakes and we just want to progress further in killing the boss... but the D/Cs prevent us. zz. freaking sian.
Now i'm applying for one of the top guilds on the server.. if i get in, gg win already. if i don't.. maybe i'll quit. see how.
and grats bestie :) glad you're content with your results :)
