forgot to post this. during my guard duty i was reading alot of magazines (hey, what else is there to do. stare at the cctvs and wait for a white figure to fly past?) that were around in the office. i can't rem whether it's 8 days or reader's digest that had this jokes section.. and they were freaking funny!

i love labour day

rawr. back from my 24hour guard duty (2 hour shifts, 4 hour break) which was the slackest possible ever. Just sit in office and watch cctvs (of an area which NOONE goes to) and during break go sleep or watch real TV.
waste time!!! zz.

well, i'm looking forward to the 2 day break of labour day and the dayafterlabour day (i've got that day off! cos they keep making us do stuff on weekend so i think it's like compensation) I'll finally get my muchdeserved proper 'weekend break'. (of 2 days la. in the whole BSLC i think i only had one proper weekend break)

Just this week i had my 2nd navigation exercise.. which was on our own without any instructors.. and my group basically flunked it. We found ZERO checkpoints (out of 3. 2 day checkpoints, 1 night. ). super sad. when we came back from the night one they gave us a new checkpoint to find cos we havent found any at all. which we tried but also cannot find.
zzz. howwww. navigation sucks. but the fun thing about the whole thing was manning the signals set. It's quite funny to hear the groups comms back to the HQ to say stuff.
e.g.
"Hello 00 this is seven charlie.. er.. we are lost! over"
hahaha. super funny this.
And the stupid thing is that 00 (which is the HQ) will reply:
"00 , please tell us your location so we can give you directions, over"

like hello!?! if you're lost, how on earth do you know where you are. if you know where you are you wont be lost right. zz hope we pass our navigation test which is in 2 weeks time i think.


on a side note, i'm working on a little mission which i'll hopefully be executing after i ORD (next year, 10th november) I'm creating a side blog for it, will reveal more about it soon yea. =)

short weekends

ok this sucks.

firstly, i'm not going to church on sunday cos on sunday i have metador and m203 live firing (some guns.) and i have to book in on saturday night -_- so my weekend is shortened.

THEN, i just found out yesterday that tmr morning (sat morning) i have to book in for some survey for CBRE (Chemical Biological Radiological Explosives) department. sian. so effectively my bookout time is like.. 10 hours. But it would be pretty cool if i get into that CBRE thing after my BSLC training. bomb diffusal unit woo! haha.

Then next week i have guard duty on saturday -_- so i think only sunday morning bookout. then sunday night go back in. woo my life rocks .

hmm yknow there's this army policy that we cannot post army matters online. like no photos, no blogging about training, etc. But i was wondering.. how do they catch people? Like if i dont mention what army i'm from, i can be from any army in the world. like russian army or scandinavian army or alaskan army. but i just talk about my training la without stating the name. then i can deny any accusations and claim i'm some other country person.
ha ok to be safe i'll never type the army i'm from so i can't be googled.

ok, how screwed up, my phone got spoilt.

Had sports day in army yesterday, so had to stay one extra day otherwise friday can bookout already :( then.. after all the events were over and we were sitting in the parade square waiting for the prize presentation.. it began raining.

and i'm telling ya, the raindrops were GIGANORMOUS. such that when it hits your skin it SPLATS and breaks up into a 100 tiny raindrops , something like a mortar bomb effect. yup so it poured and rained and the wind swept across us and it was freaking cold and miserable. And i had my handphone in my pants pocket -_- zz.

when we went back to bunk i realised some buttons on my phone weren't working. then they were working. then they weren't working. pretty screwed up. then sometimes hang. then sometimes can work. argh.

i need a new old phone people!! if anyone has an old phone (without camera ) that he/she doesnt want, can i have it!!? i'll even pay a small price for it. i need a phoneee.

on a different note, i've got some stupid rash on my back again!! but this time it doesn't feel like heat rash. it's not the suddenly pain prickly sensation i had last time. but more of a continual itch. i like this itch better. not as .. shocking as the previous one. but still. irritating! go away itch!

ok.. let's see what i've done so far as CDT. i've watched Agent Cody Banks (the movie) on kids central .. used computer till i'm tired .. slept for 2-3 hours. hahaha.

It is super slack after all. and my sergeant quite nice let me go mess room relack. then after i was there for quite long using com i felt guilty so i went back down to the office.. but he was sleeping -_- so i went back up to sleep.


Well, of course i'd rather be outside. outside can play warcraft. can see friends. but.. this aint that bad :p i would rather have this over guard duty any day man

Later got I Robot on chan 5! hope i can watch. everyone else is booking in at 2230 anyway.. shouldnt be a problem i think. unless the sergeant mood swing or sth. haha. ok im off to play warcraft single player -_- nothing else to do.

ok this sucks.

i was supposed to report to camp at 730AM for my stupid duty i mentioned earlier. So after rough estimation of the timings of the train bus, i figured i had to leave house at 545 to catch the 555 train and ill reach camp at around 720, just enough time la. So i woke up at 5 AM in the morning, after sleeping at 1230+

(was watching Red Dragon on chan5. It wasn't very good though. Alot of the essence of the book was lost. certain scenes seem unnaturally short and lacking; the narrative was totally lost. )

So i went to the MRT.. then found out still not open. Ok fine, my mom mentioned sth about it only opening at 555. (it was around 545 when i reached)
So i waited till it opened.. and lo and behold guess what.

"First Train to Harbourfront - 6.20 AM"

GG LA! that would mean if i followed through with my planned route, i'll reach camp like 740 or later, and sure get screwed or something, since i'm supposed to report at 730. Hence, i took a cab instead. cost freaking 18 bucks. but i reached damn early la, at like 630AM.

THEN. when i asked the sergeant what time i had to report for duty.. guess what he said? '745 come down'.

!!!

I could have still taken train and bus and reached on time la!!! thoguh will be a little rushed. but still! grrrr. wasted my money. so now i'm sitting in the mess room using the com.. dunno if i'm allowed to.. but.. oh well. about half an hour till my duty.
and, i heard it's 24 hours. so i'm so dead. i only slept like 4+ hours last night la. how am i gonna survive. god help me.

arhghg. i have faith in balancee. i have this logical-sounding theory which goes against my religious beliefs but i wanna believe this theory so that i will feel better.

My theory of LUCK goes like this - when you're having a string of bad/good luck, the reverse is bound to happen, since there has to be a balance in your life. For example, if you had bad luck for quite awhile, sooner or later, something lucky is supposed to happen.

My luck has been TERRIBLEEE. like !(#*&!ID!_9. if you have read my previous blog entries, you'll know of my terrible luck in the first week. then now.. more bad luck. my guard duty is on a saturday (26th april) so that means my weekend gone -_-
THEN. THIS SUNDAY i have to book in at freaking 730AM!!! The rest of the company 1030 PM !!!!! That's like.. 15 hours wasted!!!

All because i'm the CDT.. have to understudy some admin sergeant and learn his job. stupid stupid. then actually by schedule it's supposed to be my friend but he Out Of Course (cos of medical condition) then somehow randomly it became ME!!! WTHHH

sigh.

anyway, i accomplished something! i left behind a legacy in SAJC! wahaha. well it's not ME that's famous, i don't think anyone even knows who i am. but my SAJC Sleeping Girl videos are apparently famous. Then the deputy principal actually mentioned it during assembly today or sth, as my friend told me. =) whee. hope more people watch
