Who Cares About Living?

Who Cares About Living?

Play
all the video games you want to
the TV shows at primetime are calling you
join the multitudes of teenagers wasting their time on the couch
exams are just a phase, graduation certificates are just pieces of paper
you don't need good jobs to survive
sweeping the roads and cleaning toilets will be fun

Go
throw yourself in the middle of the road
dont look left or right, just cross it
let the speeding motorcar run you over like a steamroller
give yourself some broken ribs, a concussion
go into coma for several years.

Eat
all the junk food from Pizza Hut and McDonalds
stuff yourself with calories and oil and fats
who cares if your arteries are blocked up by pounds of fat
and your blood cant reach your brain
you'll just suffer a stroke and paralyse half your body, your other half's still moving.

Consume
the endless flow of liquor at happy hour
smoke more of those $10 a pack cigarettes
money is earned to be spent, why not add more smoke to your lungs?
life is short anyway, does it matter if you get liver failure
or lung cancer or liver cancer or any of these diseases?
after all you'll just join a mere statistic of millions killed worldwide

Live
as recklessly as you can
be a daredevil, take dares, take risks, be a man
dont back down from challenges, enjoy the adrenaline rushes
it just takes a single second to kill you, so enjoy the other millions of seconds you have
use them well, try killing yourself in as many indirect ways as possible
doing the things deemed 'enjoyable' by the society.

Who are you kidding?

  1. i know who cares about living. Jesus and God.

They both care very much about every single human being living. god knows how familiar, or UNfamiliar, you are with Ezekiel 33:11, 1 Timothy 2:4 and 2 Peter 3:9. all of which say plain as daylight that human life is highly valued by God. even wretched, wicked lives. how can you bear to take so lightly something God takes so seriously?
and how can you just throw away something Jesus died for?

If your friend died for you, he'd have wanted you to live your life for him, for his sake, to live safe and peaceful, that's what he died for.

  2. Laws of Life

Air is made up of nitrogen,
    Oxygen and carbon dioxide;
The sky is blue, the rainbow is colourful,
The sun is bright and the clouds are white.
These are the laws of life.

Men and women who come together
    Have their futures interwoven, for worse or for better;
The man is the leader, the woman is the helper,
One the bread-winner, the other the child-bearer.
These are the laws of life.

The young play with clay while the old ones pray,
    And teenagers stumble while their parents toil;
First school, then pool, then pay-cheque, then bills,
Then tour around the world, then bed with pills.
These are the laws of life.

Those who strive and thrive and throw away their lives
Just to watch the figure in the bank account rise,
"Tour around the world"? You mean trudge about the home.
The returns of your sweat enters your son's left pocket.
These are the laws of life.

Youths who were said to be fabulously great,
To have a wonderfully bright future right ahead,
Vomitted and bled to string a line of 'A' s,
But never really knew their goals in those days.
These are the laws of life.

All us people, stressed and strained,
Fulfill our roles, despite great pain,
    Trying to meet great expectations,
But what is the aim of all these ambitions?
Why can't we live in simple freedom?

Ah, but these are the laws of life.
