Hearthstone Pack Percentages (2)

Opened another 40 packs today. Bye money.

I must have misenterred something as I only have 197 cards total. But here are the stats:

Common (White) - 136 (69%)
Common Golden (White) - 3 (1.5%)
Rare (Blue) - 45 (22.8%)
Rare Golden (Blue) - 2 (1.02%)
Epic (Purple) - 7 (3.55%)
Epic Golden (Purple) - 1 (0.5%)
Legendary - 3 (1.52%)
no golden Legendaries :(

Abit lousier this time in terms of legendaries - no golden, and one less legendary. Got more blues this time. Otherwise about the same.

Hearthstone Alley Tournament - My Games

As mentioned in this previous post, I joined a Hearthstone tournament recently (and came in 4th). The videos are up! They had a live stream of the event, with a player cam on me too. These are not all the games, but only those of mine that were casted.

Warning: Casters are quite cringeworthy. They make a lot of incorrect/pointless comments. And seem quite new to the game. My games are of course far from perfect, riddled with errors too. :( Oh well.

If you want to just watch ONE game, check out my first series against Unistar (winner's bracket round 1) for an amazing series of topdecks (for both players)

Group stage: vs Attoken

Hearthstone Pack Percentages

I bought 40 packs of Hearthstone packs last night, finally caving in to the pay-to-win model of Hearthstone that people have tried to deny for ages. I knew it, but tried to play without paying despite this, but after some thought I decided to just go ahead and spend the money.

I was checking out some card rarity posts and it seems like the percentages were Rare (23%), Epic (4.5%), Legendary (1.1%)

For my own 40 packs, my percentages were as follows:

146 Common
43 Rare (4golden)
7 Epic
4 Legendaries (2golden)

which translates to

Common (73%)
Rare (21.5%)
Epic (3.5%)
Legendary (2%)

I think I got really lucky here - despite lower percentages for rare and epics, I got almost double the expected % for legendaries (about 1 per 10 packs). And not just that, TWO of the legendaries were golden! So I actually disenchanted them both (Nozdormu and Baron Geddon; I already had the latter and the former is useless) to craft Ragnaros and Sylvanas which I really wanted.

Also crafted a Black Knight from the extra dust from DE everything else.

If you want to see the exact breakdown of cards that I got, just refer below after the page break.
