it's pretty amusing how J2 attendance is dwindling as prelims draw nearer, because many people are skipping school (or classes) to study, as they deem time spent in school at this point of time unproductive, since syllabus is completed already and teachers are just doing revision. and some teachers are terrible.
i shared this view as i stayed at home today, mugged the whole day . well, almost.
Anyway, last night i read finish the book 'The Silence of the Lambs', the 2nd book of the series of the cannibalistic killer Hannibal Lector. After finishing it, i totally understood why this book was an international bestseller and outshadowed its prequel and sequel. (Red Dragon and Hannibal, respectively)
Unlike the other two books, which were pretty draggy and took some time to get into the story and had some really draggy points, this one jumps straight into it - the main character gets assigned to talk to Hannibal straight away, and Hannibal's cool, witty, highly intelligent character shines through naturally.
Super good book!! Hannibal is really damn smart. but quite violent also. The book is damn exciting la. Really like watching a movie or something.. the climaxes i have to read it about 3-4 times because i'll be left in shock after reading through the first time.. like ZOMG did that just happen!?!
So if you're looking for a good thriller to read, check out The Silence of the Lambs. I'm sure the local library near you will have a copy =) it's a classic.
anyway, some random stuff:
sorry for the grainy picture, my HP camera sucks. This is an SBS bus, one of the newer models i guess. can you loook at the green cushiony thing on the left side of the picture.. It's basically a vertical hard cushion. Can someone tell me what on earth that is for?? How does that aid the handicap?
Is it just a crash cushion which i always use it for? (e.g. the bus stops and throws everyone slightly forward abit, ill just let myself fly forward and bang into it)
and.. a super funny looking ad i saw in a magazine:
and below it were the words:
"It's hard to find your litter box if you can't smell it"
advertising some fragrance thing to eliminate the smelliness of litter boxes i guess.
hahaha. i love the cat picture :p
