LAN PARTY

There are 3 things in the world that bond guys together:
1) games
2) sports
3) NS

I wouldnt know much about the last one, but it seems pretty true. Just put any group of guys who have completed NS (or are still in NS) together, and they'll talk for endless hours about their NS experiences.

Sports are definitely good bonding times, most of my friends made in secondary school (i think all?) were because of basketball.. during recess always go play then make alot of friends.

AND GAMES. yes yes yes. LAN outings are the best.

today after math paper (which had an unlucky question 13. 10 marks and i had no clue how to do, same as alot of people), a whole bunch of us SA people went to go play LAN at CityHall :) There's a nice LAN shop there at peninsula plaza called IRC, can play in school uniform! haha. $2 an hour quite good rate.

Played pudge wars (i got off to a slow start, 0-5, then ended with about 50++ kills, top :p ) , CS (top frag at awpmap woot still have DA SKILL ), dota (2 easy wins, think team imba) , standard game WC3 (imba teams) ,
AND HALFLIFE
WHICH IS A FREAKING TIRING GAME.
Basically exactly like CS but when you die you just click and you spawn again and you go around trying to kill everyone else. So there's no rest!! walao damn tiring halfway my both arms almost cramp had to stretch abit.

ah so fun so fun. played about 5 hours shackshack. hee.

ok la, no school for like 10 days woot woot. laxing time.

Roar. Tomorrow is one hell of a day, Chemistry and Physics paper 3 -_- zzz. The thought of it makes me wanna just.. jdq8903rjasdmoiscm.

i always suffer from the loss-of-study-mood syndrome when exam starts. dunno why also . grr. yea did very little today, just read through notes and stuff when i could have done much more i think.

The buttons are damn hard to press (the right and left) . maximum volume is '31'. ?!? why such an odd number. (lol unintentional pun ) (if you didnt get it nvm) Quite soft unless i play with the earphone jack. :S

AND . the worse thing of all - The cable of the earphones is too short for me to put the mp4 player in my pocket and connect the earphones to my ears. i have to walk with a hunchbacked if i want it to be of correct length. STUPID!

me and chris were studying at hougang mall (went all the way there for the ban mian then found out the foodcourt relocated downstairs and it was.. PACKED. like totally full no space. zz. had to go KFC)
Then this family came and sat next to us.. only separated by this short glass partition. Then the baby SUPER cute. she stared at us so we started playing with her.. she's super super cute!
I sneakily took a pic of her, lucky the mother never see later she angry. haha. so cute!

wheeee i have a new mp4 player =) thanks to serene who gave it to me for FREE! yay like an early birthday present. haha. (i saw some of you squirm! cos u dunno when my bday is! wahaha. nvm im not one of those thickskinned ppl who advertise their bday like nothing lidat and put msn nicks like '5 days to my birthday' and stuff. ill let u find out urself if u're even interested in the first place :/ ahh) (no it's not in 5 days)


Howeverrr there's a catch. it's some louya jap brand. haa. so it's like.. quite lousy. very not user-friendly, but it'll suffice! i just wanna play music. (in case you dont know, mp4 player can play videos and music)

anyway, the instruction manual is SUPER FUNNY. it's like originally jap i think, and it was translated to english.. the translations are DAMN BAD. hahahha.

here're some excerpts for you to laugh at -

Ok firstly the word 'elucidation' appears REALLY often like all over the place. so im like.. ?? cos it didnt make much sense:
"The function elucidation of the POWER key-
"1.5.1.1 Elucidation: The standard ... ... "
After checking the dictionary i realised it was just a bad translation for EXPLANATION.

"Activate the position manifestation for blue carry bottom on blue's back"
???

"The screen is divided into the top and bottom two part, in principle LRC in of a line of to should one part namely 14 Chinese characters, if a line of 14 Chinese characterses with precious sight more lyrics within LRC, please at this time to put another part manifestation, each the part adoption average metod calculate synchronous time label" (i didn't make any typos)
???

"While entering each time, all enter to broadcast the mode, need the insaturation to prepare to save the broadcasting station at present, and broadcast, while entering the first time, current of hte broadcasting station orders for the minimum frequency"
? This is the introductory paragraph of the section 'Broadcasting station of FM' . no idea what the heck it means

"Short press Rec key to enter the interface
Grow to press REC key to enter recording appearance of FM
Grow to press MENU, enter the submenu of FM
Grow to press play to shutdown"
this phrase 'Grow to' appears throughout the booklet.. i have a feeling it means to press and hold. lol.


"General customers of the MP3 will be perplex by 'the data divulge a secret', dont wish to let own 'personal data' see by the other people, can delete these 'privacy's first only while being the friend to use the MP3, resulting to the very big trouble thus"
i have absolutely no idea what the heck this is about, something about running two different set of programmes i think.


and what i think is the best mis-translation of all:
"Use auto manhunt function . . . ."

This had me thinking for several seconds.. and i realise it meant 'auto SEARCH' function.


It was a really bad idea reading this screwed up manual the night before my GP exam =X hahaha. gg pwned.
