I played some poker with some exchange friends today, no money involved, just all for fun. It was pretty fun as I ended up winning by quite a bit:
[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="336"] The red chips were the 2nd highest denomination. $1 green, $2 blues, $5 reds, $10 black[/caption]
Anyway, part of the reason why I had such a huge stack was because of an amazing hand I won earlier in the round. I started off with K, 10 suited, and I raised to $5 ($1/$2, we started with $55). Everyone folded except this one guy who raised to $15. I read him as trying to bluff me off the hand, so I moved all-in - about $55~ worth. To my surprise, he called:
He is Player 1, I am Player 2.
He's a new player, so I guess his call which makes no sense normally is explained. Right now, I had a 66% chance to win to his 33%, in other words, 2 out of 3 of the time I would win.
.
And then came the worst possible flop for me:
WTF! He flopped two pairs -_- Now he's at 95% to win, and I'm at 5%. I needed a miracle. I need a King or a 10 next (or a Jack for an up and down straight draw) otherwise he wins the pot.

A King!!! Omggg! He's at 85% to my 15% to win now. I have 10 outs - I need any King, 10 or 4 to come out.
And...
The river card..
was...
a..
You guessed it..
LOL SAVED BY THE RIVER!! My King high pair beats his Q/8 pair, and I take the huge pot of about $110+ chips.
Such luck! I mean, to flop 2 pairs is lucky enough, and to lose it to the turn and river is just the ultimate shitty luck for him, and the ultimate best luck for me haha.
Yes yes I know 10 outs is not THAT big a miracle but aiya whatever. That's poker!
omg you so luckyyyyy la still dare to all-in at the beginning!! lucky it paid off
